Elaine Foster is a poet-educator, performer, community engaged arts facilitator and creative learning designer. Founder of MY Poetry School, she uses poetry and theatre education for youth empowerment and language and creative literacy. She’s produced and performed in several poetry shows which featured at Urbanscapes, Iskarnival, Cooler Lumper, Melaka Arts Festival, Georgetown Literary Festival and Singapore’s Lit Up. As a recipient of the British Council’s CTC grant (2020), she co-designed a Malaysian sign language poetry workshop. Elaine was the creator and host of BFM’s monthly poetry show, Speak Easy. She has an MA in Applied Theatre from Goldsmiths University.
